Inspired by weathered textures and layered
colours of sun-bleached paint that adorn the aged walls, doors and
buildings of our urban environments, Sarah McDonald uses an instinctive
application of marks on the canvas and abstract shapes contoured
by vivid bursts of colour to create a sense of history, of time
past. For an electronic version of Sarah's brochure, click

"I find beauty in old derelict buildings and
industrial urban environments - beauty that often goes unnoticed.
I am inspired by the romance, history and character of old walls,
rusty doors, peeling paint and old torn posters."
